Penne with Chicken Sausage and Chard

YIELD: 6 servings

1 pound whole wheat penne pasta
1 link Italian-style turkey sausage, casing removed
1 bundle Swiss chard
1 jar Costantino's Kitchen Arizona Arrabbiata Pasta Sauce
½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated


Cook pasta in boiling, salted water until just under al dente. Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage, crumble and cook until browned. Meanwhile, remove the tough inner stem from the chard and cut the leaves into bite-sized pieces. Add to sausage mixture and toss until it begins to wilt, about 2 minutes. Add pasta sauce and cook until heated through, another 2 minutes. Drain pasta and add to sauce. Toss well with sauce and finish cooking pasta. Garnish with Parmesan cheese.
